A Igreja da Santíssima Trinità dei Monti, muitas vezes chamada apenas de Trinità dei Monti, está situada acima da famosa Escadaria de Espanha e é uma das cinco igrejas católicas de língua francesa de Roma. A Escadaria Espanhola foi construída, sob o pontificado de Inocêncio XIII e sob a direção do arquiteto romano Francesco De Santis, para ser o ponto de encontro de todos os cidadãos. No meio da praça fica a chamada Barcaccia, a fonte de Pietro Bernini.
