Dia 3 – Cruzeiro: De Atenas a Roma com Norwegian Getaway

Visita a Mykonos com o Norwegian Star. Realizámos excursão que nos levou a duas belíssimas praias: Agios Ioannis e Kalafati, antes da visita ao mosteiro de Panagia Tourliani. Regresso depois à cidade de Mykonos, Chora, onde tivemos tempo para explorar todos os seus recantos antes de voltar ao navio.

EN// Visit to Mykonos with the Norwegian Star. We took a tour that led us to two beautiful beaches: Agios Ioannis and Kalafati, before visiting the Panagia Tourliani Monastery. We then returned to the town of Mykonos, Chora, where we had time to explore all its corners before returning to the ship.

Agios Ioannis

Agios Ioannis é uma pequena vila turística no sudoeste da ilha, a 2,5 km de Ornos. Foi construída em forma de anfiteatro e localizada em frente a Delos, combinando beleza natural com excelentes acomodações turísticas. Flores cor-de-rosa e roxas cobrem as escadas e varandas das casas brancas. A linda praia de areia de Agios Ioannis com as águas cristalinas recebeu o nome da igreja que está localizada aqui.

EN// Agios Ioannis is a small tourist village in the southwest of the island, 2.5 km from Ornos. It is built amphitheatrically and located across from Delos, combining natural beauty with excellent tourist accommodations. Pink and purple flowers drape the stairways and balconies of the white houses. The lovely sandy beach of Agios Ioannis with the crystal clean waters took its name from the church that is located here.

Praia de Kalafati

Popular entre as famílias com crianças e os praticantes de desportos náuticos (especialmente windsurf), esta praia situa-se na zona este da ilha. Por estar longe das praias mais turísticas, continua menos desenvolvida, mas tem alguns hotéis e restaurantes. Há algumas pedras na beira da água, mas depois de passar por elas, é ótimo para nadar.

EN// Popular with families with children and with those who enjoy water sports (especially windsurfing), this beach is on the eastern side of the island. As it’s away from the more touristy beaches, it remains less developed, but it has a few hotels and restaurants. There are some rocks by the water’s edge, but once past them, it’s great for swimming.

Mosteiro de Panagia Tourliani

O mosteiro de Panagia Tourliani está localizado a 8 km da cidade de Chora, na vila de Ano Mera, foi originalmente construído em 1542. A arquitetura do mosteiro é bastante impressionante, com um exterior caiado de branco e uma cúpula colorida. No pátio fora da igreja encontramos Uma bela fonte de mármore. No interior da igreja, podemos ver uma impressionante iconóstase de madeira (tela de altar) feita em 1775 por artistas florentinos.

EN// The architecture of the monastery is rather impressive, with a whitewashed exterior and a colored dome. A beautiful marble fountain is found in the yard outside the church. In the interior of the church, we can see an impressive wooden iconostasis (altar screen) made in 1775 by Florentine artists.

Chora (Cidade de Mykonos)

Nesta visita a Mykonos encontrámos Chora quase irreconhecível, pois as suas características ruas estreitas encontravam-se sem a habitual azafama de turistas que quase não nos deixa avançar. Permitiu, no entanto, que pudéssemos desfrutar com mais calma de cada pormenor desta belíssima cidade!

EN// On this visit to Mykonos we found Chora almost unrecognizable, as its characteristic narrow streets were without the usual hustle and bustle of tourists that almost doesn’t let us go forward. However, it allowed us to more calmly enjoy every detail of this beautiful city!
