A Schwarzenbergplatz é uma das praças mais grandiosas de Viena, no centro da praça está a estátua equestre do príncipe de Schwarzenberg que comandou as forças austríacas e aliadas contra Napoleão na Batalha de Leipizig em 1813 e a fonte iluminada, atrás dela ergue-se o Memorial da Guerra Soviética, um monumento ao Exército Vermelho, que libertou Viena na Segunda Guerra.
