Passeio a pé por Victoria

Existem poucas cidades tão adequadas para um passeio a pé como Victoria, na Colúmbia Britânica, no Canadá. O Norwegian Sun chegou ao final da tarde, e iniciámos imediatamente a caminhada a partir do terminal de cruzeiros em direção ao centro de Victoria.
No percurso, foi possível observar o Fisherman’s Wharf, famoso pelos seus coloridos flutuantes e restaurantes de marisco, e o Inner Harbor durante o pôr-do-sol, proporcionando uma vista deslumbrante. O passeio, já de noite, realçou a bela iluminação dos edifícios históricos. Continuámos o percurso, passando pelo charmoso Pendray Inn, uma mansão vitoriana transformada em bed & breakfast, e pelo Confederation Garden Court, um jardim tranquilo ideal para uma pausa relaxante. O passeio terminou na impressionante Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, cuja arquitetura iluminada é um verdadeiro espetáculo à noite.

EN// There are few cities as well-suited for a walking tour as Victoria, in British Columbia, Canada. The Norwegian Sun arrived in the late afternoon, and we immediately started the walk from the cruise terminal towards downtown Victoria.
Along the way, we were able to see Fisherman’s Wharf, famous for its colorful floating homes and seafood restaurants, and the Inner Harbor during sunset, offering a stunning view. The walk, now at night, highlighted the beautiful illumination of the historic buildings. We continued the route, passing by the charming Pendray Inn, a Victorian mansion turned bed & breakfast, and the Confederation Garden Court, a tranquil garden perfect for a relaxing break. The tour ended at the impressive Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, whose illuminated architecture is truly spectacular at night.

Description of the Excursion by NCL:
There are fewer cities more spectacularly suited for a walking tour than Victoria. This delightful two-hour excursion will commence at the cruise terminal and start out along the seawall that is lined with the well-manicured lawns and gardens of those lucky enough to live with a view of the Strait of Juan De Fuca and the Olympic Mountain Range.
Stepping away from the bustle of the cruise terminal, you will walk down into the heart of downtown, which is full of shopping, restaurants, nightclubs and much more. The Inner Harbor of Victoria is a bustling and vibrant area with regular seaplane departures to the surrounding islands, street performers, local crafts and food vendors. This is also the location of the Royal BC Museum, the British Columbia Parliament Buildings and the world-famous Fairmont Empress Hotel with its façade of century-old ivy- covered walls. As you make your way through the city, your experienced local guide will share with you the inside stories and history of the area and a true insider’s knowledge of all things unique to the City of Victoria.
Your guided tour concludes on the lawns of the Empress Hotel and you are encouraged to further explore Downtown on your own before heading back to the ship at your leisure. For those who don’t wish to walk back, a shuttle will be available.
