Riaño – Viewpoints

A tarde foi preenchida com uma visita minuciosa a Riaño e aos seus miradouros. A beleza de Riaño revela-se nas suas características naturais únicas, como o Parque Natural de Fuentes Carrionas y Fuente Cobre-Montaña Palentina, que a envolve. Com as águas serenas da Reserva Natural do Pantano de Riaño, o ambiente oferece um espetáculo de tranquilidade e reflexão.
Após uma breve passagem pelo centro da cidade, dirigimo-nos até ao “El banco más bonito de León”, de onde a beleza das imagens fala por si. Atravessámos, em seguida, a Puente Pantano de Riaño, que nos conduziu ao início do trilho do Mirador de Las Biescas e Cueva de la Vieja del Monte. Este trilho tem aproximadamente 2,6 km para cada lado, sendo a maior parte da sua extensão plana, com uma subida após os primeiros 2 km que requer um pouco de preparação. No Mirador de Las Biescas, existe um banco onde podemos descansar e contemplar uma paisagem fabulosa.
Ao final da tarde, ainda tivemos tempo para mais um trilho até ao Mirador Alto Valcayo (com vista sobre a cidade e a paisagem circundante) e ao “Columpio de Riaño” (um baloiço gigante muito popular para fotos nas redes sociais).

EN// The afternoon was filled with a thorough visit to Riaño and its viewpoints. The beauty of Riaño is revealed in its unique natural features, such as the Natural Park of Fuentes Carrionas y Fuente Cobre-Montaña Palentina, which surrounds it. With the serene waters of the Natural Reserve of Pantano de Riaño, the environment offers a spectacle of tranquility and reflection.
After a brief visit to the city center, we headed to the “El banco más bonito de León,” where the beauty of the images speaks for itself. We then crossed the Puente Pantano de Riaño, which led us to the beginning of the trail to Mirador de Las Biescas and Cueva de la Vieja del Monte. This trail is approximately 2.6 km each way, with the majority of its length being flat, and a climb after the first 2 km that requires a bit of preparation. At Mirador de Las Biescas, there is a bench where we can rest and contemplate a fabulous landscape.
In the late afternoon, we still had time for another trail to Mirador Alto Valcayo (with a view over the city and the surrounding landscape) and to the “Columpio de Riaño” (a giant swing very popular for photos on social media).
