A Praia do Malhão, localizada em Odemira, é uma das joias escondidas da costa alentejana. No dia da nossa visita, um denso nevoeiro envolvia a praia, criando uma atmosfera mística e quase mágica. As ondas quebravam suavemente na areia fina e dourada, enquanto a brisa marítima trazia um frescor revigorante. O nevoeiro obscurecia as falésias que a cercam, dando à paisagem um toque de mistério, com as formas das rochas quase a emergir do vazio.
Não foi possível voltar, pois o período de férias estava a chegar ao fim. Mas merece uma nova visita. A estrada para lá chegar é de terra batida com brita provocando bastante oscilação do veículo, mas possui excelente espaço de estacionamento.

The waves gently broke on the fine, golden sand, while the sea breeze brought a refreshing coolness. The fog obscured the cliffs surrounding the beach, giving the landscape a touch of mystery, with the shapes of the rocks almost emerging from the void.
It wasn’t possible to return, as the holiday period was coming to an end. But it deserves another visit. The road to get there is a gravel path that causes quite a bit of vehicle oscillation, but there is excellent parking space available.

🌊 Praia do Malhão, located in Odemira, is one of the hidden gems of Portugal’s Alentejo coast. During our visit, a dense fog covered the beach, creating a mystical and almost surreal atmosphere.
Gentle waves rolled in on soft, golden sand while a cool sea breeze filled the air. The cliffs surrounding the beach were barely visible, giving the entire scene an eerie beauty, as if the rocks were emerging from the mist.
📍 The road to the beach is a gravel track that may cause some vehicle shaking, but there is plenty of parking available. Unfortunately, we couldn’t return, as the holiday season was ending — but this beach definitely deserves a revisit.
